In a powerful display of unity and compassion, Indonesia's investment management agency, Danantara, has mobilized an incredible 1,000 volunteers to bring much-needed aid to the communities devastated by the recent floods and landslides in Sumatra. The official send-off, led by Danantara's Chief Operating Officer, Dony Oskaria, took place at Kualanamu International Airport in Deli Serdang District, North Sumatra. Along with the volunteers, the agency also dispatched over 100 vehicles loaded with essential goods and equipment, including groceries, clean water, and fuel, to support the affected regions.
Oskaria, who also chairs the SOE Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN), expressed his gratitude to all SOE employees for their tireless efforts in supporting the government's disaster relief operations. He emphasized the importance of their work, stating, "Hopefully, your dedication will bring tangible relief to those impacted by this tragedy."

Additionally, he mentioned that since the disasters occurred, he has consistently reminded SOE directors of their shared responsibility to serve the nation.
"I encourage all SOE volunteers to extend a helping hand to our fellow citizens affected by these disasters," Oskaria said, addressing the volunteers. "Let's work together to provide the best possible solutions and support to those in need."
Oskaria also conveyed President Prabowo Subianto's message, urging volunteers and disaster response personnel to give their utmost while serving in Sumatra. "It is crucial that you maintain professionalism and a positive attitude during your deployment. Let's make a difference and offer our best to those who need it most," he added.
